After beating France the USA women's soccer team lost the FIFA world cup to the fighting Japan. Japan faced Germany and Sweden to get to the cup but barely got by both teams. Japan was 0-23-and 2 coming into the cup against the United States. It was an upsetting win for the US but not for Japan. Another thing thats going on is the NFL lockout. The lockout has been happening for over 100 days. There's been a lot of comments on the lockout but it's still going on. The last thing on Sports Nation is about the world of baseball. So far a lot of exciting things have happened but mostly for Derek Jeter. In a game he was 5 for 5 with a home run. But most importantly the home run was his 3,000th hit. Another thing that happened is Robinson Canoe won the Home Run Derby. He faced Adrian Gonzales in the finals and beat him by 1 home run.
