Softball is a sport that requires some equipment. To you can get equipment at any sports store or amazon. here is the equipment you will need. A helmet.
A bat. You measure the height of a bat by putting the bottom of the bat on the floor if the end of the bat should reach your lower hip. You know if the bat is the right weight is that you take one hand put that hand in front of you and you hold it. If you can hold it then it is the right bat for you.You will also need a fielding mask. last but not least you will need a glove. If you are in minor league Softball a 11in. to 12in.
You might think that softball and baseball are the same thing but they aren't the same thing. First the ball is not the same size of a baseball.
Next the pitching is different.In softball you would pitch underhand,in baseball you would pitch overhand.
Lastly, the baseball field has a grass infield, with a grass outfield.While a softball field only has a grass outfield, and no grass infield. Also,the pitcher's mound is elevated on a baseball field. Though in softball the pitcher's mound is not elevated.
When you are up to bat you want to hit the bat with all your muscles so it will go really far.What is shown below is how you should stand and hit the ball as shown below.
Your glove should be on the oposite hand of your throwing hand.If a ball is hit or thrown to you and it is below your waist then you should catch the ball underhand. If it is overhand then you should catch it as shown below.
