To build a good team, look at your Pokemon's stats.
As an example, my Treeko's ability, Overgrow, makes its grass moves stronger.
Use items to train your Pokemon in what they excel in.
That is the basis of Pokemon. But remember: HAVE FUN. Pokemon is not meant to be boring.
